How many cities in the sunshine state have you visited? This is your chance to at least virtually visit Jacksonville FL, and then you can decide if you want to visit The River City. It certainly is a great place for planning a trip. I’m going to introduce you to four of the top attractions in Jacksonville FL, and then you can make the call.

The beaches of Jacksonville are grand. They aren’t the Caribbean style beaches of the gulf side of Florida though. They are the wavy Atlantic side, a deep blue. One of the places to visit to enjoy the beach with your family is Big Talbot Island State Park. Located on Heckscher Drive, this state park is home to Boneyard Beach. What a name, right? Don’t worry, the beach is beautiful, and it’s a great place to hang out, take pictures and enjoy a picnic.

There are also walking trails at the state park. Plus, there is Little Talbot Island to visit, too. You will get there, but now let’s take a look at another attraction, Riverside Arts Market. Located at Riverside Park Place, this arts market is full of food vendors, local artists, live music and well, you can imagine it’s a great time. One other thing that you need to know about this place is it is best visited on a Saturday.

The natural area surrounding Fort Caroline National Memorial looks absolutely gorgeous in the pictures. Located off of Fort Caroline Road, this memorial has a visitors center, and you can walk the nature trails. Visit the original site, enjoy the small museum and have fun out in nature. It’s all about the early days of Florida and the French settlers.

There are plenty of museums in Jacksonville, and this next one would be a place I want to visit. It’s the Museum of Science and History. It is located off of Museum Circle, and there is so much to see and do there. Reviews even mention that the places houses live animals. You’re also going to be nearby Friendship Fountain.

These four top Jacksonville FL places of interest will get you going. What do you think about your quick virtual tour of The River City? If planning a trip sounds good to you, put one in the works. And don’t forget about the sunshine state when planning your future vacations. You’re going to have a wonderful time enjoying all there is to see and do there.
